| Title: | pre-Raphaelite jacket |
|---|---|
| Date: | Apr 2012 |
| Original Size: | fits a 36 inch bust |
| Notes: | The yoke is based on designs found in my great-grandfather's sketchbook. Archie Macgregor was involved with the pre-Raphaelites in west London in the 1890s, and several of his leaf border designs were combined with a sketch for a yoke, using the computer. The result was printed on silk and machine embroidered (for the front yoke), but left un-embroidered for the back. The skirt is printed satin devore, and the sleeves are silk chiffon. |
