| Title: | A promise |
|---|---|
| Date: | Jun 1994 |
| Original Size: | about two yards wide |
| Notes: | Three-quarter circle "wedding ring" shawl in 1-ply shetland wool. The colours were all dyed with natural dyes. The centre was knitted to give the impression of summer fields, with a standard shawl border, including a triple rainbow. I like the association of a wedding-ring shawl (fits through a wedding ring in spite of the size) with the promise of a rainbow. This was included in the Weavers Spinners & Dyers National Exhibition in 1996 |
