| Notes: | My samples from the Dyers Picnic in June 2023. From left to right: cochineal (skein and blanket square), woodruff roots, madder (skein, second exhaust skein, blanket square), cardoon (skein and blanket), annatto, weld (skein and blanket), apple leaves (rather disappointing), indigo (2 skeins plus blanket), walnut, logwood (skein and blanket), lichen, Wellingtonia wood chips. The two balls at the bottom are longer skeins which have been dip dyed as warps for my scarf loom - the fine brown/red one is kidsilk haze dipped in Wellingtonia, walnut, lichen, woodruff, cochineal, the heavier one is also kidsilk, dipped in apple, cardoon and weld, and then overdyed with indigo. These are all supplies for further processing! |
