Title:Entrelac gloves
Date:Nov 2002
Original Size: my hand size
Notes: These were produced for a Weavers Spinners and Dyers annual competition. I used a basic mitten pattern, but knitted the backs in entrelac stitch (which did come out slightly wider) and the palms in intarsia so each finger came out a different colour. The yarns are natural dyed aran-weight, and they are arranged with the left (port) glove red and the right (starboard) one green - and if you put your hands together you get a rainbow. A year or so after I knitted them originally I modified them to give a flap which can be used to keep the ends of the fingers warm
