| Notes: | Entrelac waistcoat in natural dyed ikat yarn
Front knitted from Aran yarn tied and dip-dyed in a range of natural dyebaths; back in plain-dyed Aran yarn; crocheted borders in dip-dyed yarn. This was an attempt to reproduce the instant-fairisle yarns using natural dyes. I wrote a description which was published in the WS&D Journal, and submitted the waist coat (before I'd done the borders) to the Guild national exhibition in 2004. The waistcoat wasn't accepted for the exhibition, but the article was published. |
