| Notes: | My new item for the Midlands Textile Forum exhibition Festivals and celebrations at The Public gallery in West Bromwich. It started as a circle of fabric, polyester and organza with overlocked edge, used for a wrapping. I added random fabric scraps and another layer of organza, then machine embroidered and cut back to give the basic background. Then applied fancy yarns, on the less-decorative side, and finally added the tremblers - yarns stiffened with wire, with sequins on the edge. |
